The Fantail Pigeon is an unusual breed of pigeon and has been in existence for hundreds of years. This pigeon is characterised by a fan shaped tail composed of 30-40 feathers. The breed originated from India and China.
These birds display their fan to observers, and they tend to emit a chirpy noise to get attention. They fly around in short, acrobatic circles before opening their tails.
You can adopt a Fantail Pigeon completely by paying £50 (choose two shares), or buy up to two adoption shares for just £25 each. What you get by adopting:
An Adoption Certificate.
Complimentary Entrance Tickets.
Your name on a special plaque on the animal's enclosure.
A chance to have a chat with a keeper about your Adopted Animal (providing this is arranged in advance with the Adoption Secretary).
In addition to all this you gain a new member of the family and make a new friend!
