The White-tailed Sea Eagle is a large bird that is 69–92 cm (27–36 in) long with a 182–244 cm (72–96 in) wingspan. It is the 4th largest eagle in the world! It lives in northern Europe and northern Asia and survives on a diet of fish, birds, carrion and small mammals. As a result of hunting and increasing pollutants in their prey, Sea Eagles were extinct in central Europe by the 1970s, but numbers are steadily recovering and there are now around 10,000 breeding pairs globally. Sea Eagles are being reintroduced in the United Kingdom and Ireland but they are still threatened by illegal egg-collecting. By adopting/part adopting a White-tailed Sea Eagle, you will be playing an active role in the support of wildlife and its conservation.
You can adopt a White-tailed Sea Eagle completely by paying £200 (choose eight shares), or buy up to eight adoption shares for just £25 each. What you get by adopting:
An Adoption Certificate.
Complimentary Entrance Tickets.
Your name on a special plaque on the animal's enclosure.
A chance to have a chat with a keeper about your Adopted Animal (providing this is arranged in advance with the Adoption Secretary).
In addition to all this you gain a new member of the family and make a new friend!
